Salon Showcase 2012-W32

If Salon kept a gratitude journal, we'd be busy filling it with entries this week.  We are chipping away slowly at the European Union, finally having our first international visit from the Netherlands.  Eindelijk!  In recognition thereof, a watercolor interpretation of their Princess Máxima's masterfully photographed 40th birthday portrait is in today's showcase.  A day after the Dutch viewing, we chalked up our 45th country with the first visit from Panamá...  ¡Madre de Dios, es increíble!  Plus we're poised to hit a couple other milestones, probably in the next few days.

Yet, most gratifying, today we hosted three fantastic guest artists from among the group of usual suspects at Truman College, our friends Vivian Klingensmith, Sara Drummond, and returning guest Susan Silvano.  Included in the topics discussed was the mental processes that surround selling your work.  Maybe that inched us one step closer to a Salon showing at a gallery some day?  Perhaps.  But until then, please enjoy these works from today!
