Surprise Salon Showcase 2014-W26

A mini-gathering of the Salon took place on short notice today back in the old haunt on Winchester, where we enjoyed painting en plein air out in the back yard.  So you should notice an underlying theme to the works.  Hope your summer is off to a good foot, and stay cool...  but only just enough to be refreshed!

Salon Showcase 2014-W20

It seemed like winter had returned yesterday, but we were excited nonetheless to gather for our final Salon until after Labor Day.  We had lots of news and events to catch up on and then turned our attention onto possible dates and venues for some summer outings.  So, you may see a posting or three arise over the course of the summer (or not).  In amongst all that, we did make some art and here it is.  Enjoy, and have a fantastic summer.  And don't forget to come back in the fall... we plan to!

Salon Showcase 2014-W15

Jacqueline and Steve's much beloved painting table went home with its new family during the week, so Eileen kindly sat with her at the new high table and they created these fantastic small works.  And Jacqueline later saw how photographing iridescent art is a tricky business!  We are off for Easter weekend but should be back with new work the last weekend in April, although the posting will be late.  Hope you find lots of chocolate a week from tomorrow!

Salon Showcase 2014-W14

Salon was extra cheery today with the sunshine and the hints that winter is on its last legs.  About time!  That cheer reflected into today's works.  We are aiming for back-to-back Salons so enjoy the art and come back next week for more.

Back-to-back Salons, can you believe it?!  The temperatures are hovering at the freezing point, it feels like summer and everyone was chipper today.  We're aiming for a Salon trifecta so check back again next week, there should be more new Salon art.  Meanwhile, our works from today... enjoy!

Salon Showcase 2014-W06

Wow, it's been a spell but we finally got together this morning for our first group artmaking gathering of the year.  Despite the burdens of winter, we managed some cheery paintings while Eileen deployed her new drawing gear.  We're aiming to go back-to-back and paint again next weekend so come on back yourselves!
