Salon Showcase 2011-W47

The Salon was dark today in the post-Thanksgiving aftermath...  hopefully you had a great time with friends and family while wrestling with the difficult choice of apple pie or pumpkin (or, "both!"  Problem solved).  Here we present a classic painting from David.  Salon returns as usual next week.  Peace!

Salon Showcase 2011-W46

What began as a gloomy day brightened up just in the nick of time to photograph today's oeuvres from Le Salon.   Quite the mix of media to showcase...  Eileen's marker on mylar, Glen's pencil on drawing paper, Steve and Julia exploring a new stylistic approach and trying out a host of new pigments.

Salon is taking off next week for the holiday so the blog will feature a classic painting.  We wish you a peaceful and (ful)filling Thanksgiving!

Full house at Salon today, a little planning, lots of fellowship, four completed works, and glimpses of two works in progress...  enough said.  Enjoy!

Salon Showcase 2011-W44

Much is going on outside of Salon this weekend, hence, no Salon.  Nevertheless, there was enough in the vault for a full showcase.  Which matters because...

Today's installment marks the one-year anniversary of our modest blog, and in that time we've had over 1,800 visitors from 31 countries — what an age we live in.  We at Salon deWinchester look forward to many more years of sharing our art...  and we are so grateful for your your patronage here.  Thank you!
