Julia was absent from Salon today, but we are pleased to announce that Steve Frazier joins as a new member-artist.  Welcome, Steve!  No themes or group-think underlie today's artwork... meanwhile, with January wrapping up on a warm note, we can at least pretend winter is over even though we know better.  Enjoy!

Salon Showcase 2011-W03

For some crazy reason we all decided to paint on yupo instead of paper.  That's always vexing fun.  And then, coincidentally, we each thought up a title incorporating the word "dream".  So that was weird.  Eileen returns next week, thus Julia's work leads off our dreamy efforts...  enjoy!

We invited a guest to fill Eileen's seat this week, and were joined by friend and artist Susan Silvano.  Susan recently exhibited her work — on Michigan Avenue, no less — and in the Phillipine Consulate Great Room.  We all managed to start and finish a painting today, enjoy!

Salon Showcase 2011-W01

Happy New Year! Today we were joined by guest artist, and noted yupologist, Steve Frazier.  Everyone was in high spirits and raring to go after our layoff.  As we painted, we told of our holiday experiences and took a moment to remember Elvis on his 76th birthday.  Hope that 2011 is off to a good start for you all.  Enjoy!
